Women's lacrosse was founded at Sam Houston in 2002.

Women's Lacrosse are a member of the Club Sports at Sam Houston and the Texas Womens Lacrosse League (TWLL)

Womens Lacrosse is a non-contact sport. There are currently 12 teams in the Texas Womens Lacrosse League. We play against other Colleges and Universities which means that we do some traveling, and it is lots of fun.
Dues are paid once a semester at the cost of $40, this includes your uniform, bag, and goggles. The dues along with our budget help to cover costs of tournament fees, refs, and lodging when we travel, so we dont really pay out of pocket and it is well worth it.
Lacrosse sticks must be bought on your own and must be within regulation standards. Mouth guards are also a must have and are bought on your own as well. Any other supplies or equipment you wish to get, outside of the stick and mouth guard, is optional.

Even if you have never played, come out and give it a shot and you will love it.
